Fellow Diana Richmond files amicus brief in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in the same sex marriage cases
Past Fellow of the Year (2008) Diana Richmond was inducted into the California Association of Certified Family Law Specialists Hall of Fame for her outstanding service to the practice of Family Law. Diana’s contributions are legendary: as writer, lecturer, mentor, lawmaker, mover, shaker and lawchanger.
She is editorial consultant to the Matthew Bender California Family Law Practice and Procedure, 2d and to California Family Law Monthly. She writes bi-monthly commentaries for the California Family Law Monthly. She was consulting editor for California Continuing Education of the Bar, Marital Termination Settlements. She was named the first Judith McKelvey Award recipient for Outstanding Alumna from her alma mater Golden Gate University Law School, and received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the university in 1990.
Her thoughtful, thorough and well-written amicus briefs on behalf of same-sex marriage in both state and federal courts have helped and will help tip the scale in what will prove to be one of the landmark decisions of this century.
