Andrew Ross is Managing Partner of Whiting, Fallon, Ross & Abel, LLP. He is a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by The State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, since 1994. Andy has a unique ability to assist clients in navigating through the many challenges of California divorce, including those with complex property issues, valuable business interests, complicated separate property issues, emotional custody disputes, establishment and modification of child and spousal support, and other aspects of California family law. Andy has significant trial experience and is a knowledgeable litigator.
Andy has been included in the Northern California Super Lawyers® list – an achievement he has attained every year since its 2004 inception. He was also designated on the Top 100 Attorneys list in Northern California Super Lawyers® in 2008 and 2009. In addition, he was proudly selected by his peers for inclusion in “The Best Lawyers in America” in the specialty of Family Law for the years 2008 through 2014. Most recently, Andy was selected by Best Lawyers® as the 2017 Lawyer of the Year in Family Law for the Oakland metro area, including Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Andy served for two years on the Contra Costa County Judicial Evaluations Committee. In 2012, he was Vice-Chairman and in 2013 he served as Chairman of the Committee. He acted as Judge Pro Tem for the Santa Clara County Municipal Court in 1980 through 1984 and for the Contra Costa County Superior Court in 1997 through 2009.
