AAML From the Quarantini Zone: Virtual Cocktail Hour

  • April 22, 2020
  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (PDT)
  • Your Personal Cocktail Lounge

Registration is closed

These are unprecedented times.

Like us, maybe some of you are grappling with:

How to connect with clients remotely, or, “What do you mean you have more urgent things to think about than completing your PDD?”

How to run a business, or, “How on earth does my secretary answer his phone and schedule my meetings from his living room while simultaneously homeschooling his three children and fighting cabin fever?”

How to make progress in your cases and resolve conflicts, or, “The Courthouse is closed until when…..?!”

Although Judge’s Night has been cancelled due to the shelter in place this year, we would like to invite you to join in an online conversation via Zoom with your AAML friends and colleagues on April 22, 2020, at 6:00 PM as we brainstorm these and other issues. Zoom Meeting Information:

Geniveve’s 2020 Quarantini:

Safety First: Don mask and gloves. It is not necessary to go so far as to change out of your pajamas, however.

Second:

Rim your glass:

Find one extra-large martini glass. If you don’t have a martini glass, or if they are all still in the dishwasher from last night, an empty yogurt or sour cream tub will do just fine, trust me.

Wet rim with a gloved finger dipped in the last drops of organic edible hand sanitizer that you have left in your cupboard.

Invert glass and dip rim onto a plate sprinkled with a package of vitamin C or if you don’t have that, because you are a normal person who does not stockpile small packets of powdered vitamins, stomp on a vitamin C pill vigorously with your high heels which you aren’t wearing anyway and which probably don’t fit your now-bloated-from-sitting-on-couch-too-long feet. This also counts as your work-out for the day and therapy, all in one.

Mix up your drink: In a cocktail shaker mix together two parts of something boozey (bathtub gin, vodka, rum, fermented canned peach juice, whatever you have around…), one part of something sweet (simple syrup, agave syrup, or you know maple syrup, honey, or a coke), and a squeeze of lemon from your neighbor's tree that you had to climb over the fence to get because you are honestly not going to brave the supermarket for a Quarantini.

Shake with ice and enjoy!
